Open Q and A from the audience towards the end of the show. Every Sunday at 7pm EST.
If you’re looking for a fun time while staying safe, we strongly recommend that you tune in for Pro Camera Reviews. It’s a weekly show where the staff tackles a couple of issues in the Photo World. They mostly pertain to cameras and lenses, but sometimes things get a bit more serious. This is partly because we still feel that we need to be educators and leaders in this space. Additionally, we also need to be responsible. Episodes are done on Zoom and are recorded. They’re then shared on YouTube. We recommend that you subscribe to us on Youtube to keep up.

How to Shoot Without Image Stabilization: Editor in Chief Chris Gampat will lead a discussion about shooting without image stabilization. He was taught to shoot at 1/13th with a Leica rangefinder and he’s still incredibly steady even without stabilization. In his journeys, he’s found a lot of problems with the way people shoot. But he’s also found ways that work no matter what the person’s body type is.

Using the Canon EOS R5 as a Journalist: The Canon EOS R5 is the closest thing we have to a mirrorless 5D series of camera. The Canon 5D series has been popular with many photojournalists and now the mirrorless version is here. We’ve been using it a whole lot for photography–which is what it’s been designed for first and foremost. We’re going to discuss this camera and its use for photographic applications. Join us as we dive into what it’s like to use the Canon EOS R5.
Thoughts on the Canon 24-105mm f4-7.1 IS STM: We know Canon makes some fantastic RF mount glass, but the biggest complaint from many photographers has been the cost of entry. There are a couple of affordable RF lenses for Canon’s Mirrorless cameras that don’t get talked about much, and they are the RF 35mm f1.8 USM IS and the RF 24-105mm f4-7.1 IS STM. We reviewed the RF 35mm f1.8 USM IS, and we loved it. Recently, we received the 24-105mm f4-7.1 IS STM for review, and we can tell you that it might just redefine what a kit lens is. Join us as we give our first impressions and share some sample images from this lens.
The Things About Cameras and Lenses That Annoy Us So Much: Despite all of the technological advancements introduced across the photo industry, camera and lens manufacturers don’t always stick the landing. Every so often, we run into cameras or lenses that can only be described as the result of poor design decisions. At best, they feature annoying quirks that have us scratching our heads in confusion. At worst, these quirks are so egregious that the camera or lens becomes infuriating to use. Join us as we discuss some of the worst offenders we’ve seen across the industry in recent memory.
